If you’re looking to declutter, consider donating musical instruments to Common Chord’s Let’s Band Together and Pierce’s Promise programs. Instruments, which will be loaned to students, will be accepted during Common Chord’s Live at 5 event Friday, June 13.
Pierce’s Promise and Common Chord’s Let’s Band Together programs ensure that donated instruments are refurbished and loaned out – for free – to students who need them.
No outside food or alcohol is permitted at Live at 5 concerts, but there is a cash bar.
The summer concerts are from 5-7 p.m. on Fridays through August at downtown Davenport’s Skybridge Courtyard, 129 Main St. The musical lineup includes:
- June 13: Funktastic 5. Sponsored by Pierce’s Promise.
- June 20: The Velies. Sponsored by Nelson Brothers & West Bend Insurance.
- June 27: Crooked Cactus. Sponsored by Vibrant Credit Union.
- July 4: Holiday – No Live At 5.
- July 11: Rude Punch. Sponsored by Sears Seating.
- July 18: John Resch & Doggin’ Out in partnership with the Mississippi Valley Blues Society. Sponsored by MidAmerican Energy Foundation.
- July 25: Fair Warning. Sponsored by Mississippi Valley Fair.
- Aug. 1: Einstein’s Sister. Sponsored by Virdi Dental.
- Aug. 8: Jumbies. Sponsored by Downtown Davenport Partnership.
