Dementia prevention education series continues in Muscatine

MUSCATINE, Iowa –  UnityPoint Health will present “Stress and Memory” from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Muscatine Community School District Administration Building, Muskie Room, 2900 Mulberry Ave.

The free, in-person health series will be led by Dr. Hamid Sagha, UnityPoint Clinic Mulberry – Internal Medicine, according to a news release.

“Stress can affect how memories are formed in the brain,” Dr. Sagha said in the release. “Chronic stress damages our brain’s memory functions, making it hard to retain old information and learn new information.”
