Delta Dental of Iowa launches new employer benefits

Delta Dental of Iowa is launching two new employer benefits available for open enrollment this fall, the organization announced in a news release.

Now, DeltaLife will provide employees life and disability insurance benefits, and Caregiven, a mobile app, will support employees navigating the journey of caring for another adult. The two new options will be offered as part of Delta Dental’s employer product portfolio, which also includes dental, vision and legal insurance for Iowa employers and their employees.

“As employers are looking to attract and retain employees, Delta Dental wants to help them focus on ways to support the holistic well-being of their employees and stand out in the competitive job market,” April Schmaltz, interim co-CEO, said in the release.

“By supporting employees through challenging life situations, employers have an opportunity to build an overall wellness culture and grow employee loyalty. We believe these products provide employers with a one-stop solution for their ancillary benefit offerings.”

For DeltaLife, Delta Dental has partnered with OneAmerica, a Midwest-based insurance company, to provide employers with access to a variety of insurance products, including group life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability. DeltaLife plans include voluntary and employer-paid options for small businesses and large employer groups.

Employers who wish to provide the Caregiven app, which was acquired last fall, as part of an employee benefits package may sign up on the Delta Dental website by Thursday, Nov. 30, to receive a no-cost, 12-month trial.
