A Davenport woman is presenting a clothing fashion show to highlight her line of clothing and help a local church.

Shaquanta Buckley, owner of Resurrection Cloth, will hold the show at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Davenport Junior Theatre, 2822 Eastern Ave. Admission is $20. VIP seating is $30. The event will be hosted by Yung Gotti and Coach L. The doors will open at 3 p.m.

Resurrection Cloth offers authentic African apparel and has the mission to bring awareness of African culture and its history, according to the company’s website. That website shows a variety of women’s and men’s clothing.

Part of the money brought in at the show will go to help her church, Greater Praise Temple, 700 E. Sixth St., Davenport.

Ms. Buckley started Resurrection Cloth on Oct. 5, 2020, and was “inspired by the holy spirit,” according to the company’s website.

“This cloth is blessed. It all started when I moved to Michigan in 1999 to settle down and raise my children. My grandmother introduced me to Christ. That’s when I started to understand that I was anointed with gifts,” the website added.

The company’s website describes Ms. Buckley as the mother of four young women and grandmother of six. “I am striving to build a legacy for all of them,” the website adds.
