Davenport Schools Foundation awards $106,300 in scholarships

The Davenport Schools Foundation has awarded $106,300 in scholarships to 58 graduating seniors in the Davenport Community School District. The announcement was made this week.

These scholarships will support the students’ post-secondary education, funded by donations to the foundation.

Superintendent TJ Schneckloth said the scholarships ease the financial burden of higher education, allowing graduates to pursue lifelong learning. He thanked the foundation for its support.

The scholarships aim to empower students with educational opportunities for personal and professional growth, fostering a community of lifelong learners.

Foundation Board President Tim Chen congratulated the recipients and expressed gratitude to the donors who endowed the scholarships. He noted the difficulty of selecting awardees from a large pool of talented applicants and affirmed the foundation’s commitment to providing resources like scholarships to help students reach their potential.
