GENESEO, Illinois – A staged reading of Sara Tuft’s play “110 Stories,” a compilation of narratives surrounding 9/11 and the Twin Towers, will be performed at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Kingswood Church, 302 N. State St.

The play features stories of rescuers, survivors, and those who perished, highlighting themes of healing and bravery.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Henry County Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The OEM serves Henry, Stark, and Mercer counties — an area of 1,683 square miles, making it the largest such district in Illinois.

The agency is seeking to replace its aging Radiation Detection Unit. This crucial equipment, which also monitors air quality at disaster sites, is beyond its prime and no longer eligible for Homeland Security grant funding.

Advance online ticket reservations can be made by emailing [email protected].
