CLINTON, Iowa — Learn about the benefits that wind and solar projects can bring to the community at an upcoming NextEra Energy Resources Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, June 21.
The event will be from noon to 1 p.m. at Grow Clinton’s office at 721 S. Second Street.
The luncheon will discuss two solar projects in Clinton County, including:
- Rock Creek Solar, a proposed photovoltaic solar development that will create hundreds of jobs during construction and provide an estimated $9 million in additional tax revenue to the City of Camanche and Clinton County.
- The proposed Clinton Wind project, which would be capable of generating 250 megawatts of clean energy. The project could require up to 500 construction jobs, provide nearly $50 million in payments to Clinton County landowners and generate close to $50 million in additional tax revenue for the county, a news release said.
