Rock Island’s dinner theater will follow this seasonal entertainment with mystery and comedy in the venue debut of “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery”. It runs Jan. 15 – March 8.

Tony winners in wings

One of the most frequently requested titles in the dinner theater’s history arrives next in Circa ’21’s 48th-anniversary season. The venue is thrilled to present the landmark musical “Chicago”  from May 7 through July 5.

Following the sass of Chicago, Circa ’21 audiences can indulge in the sweetness of a fellow Tony Award winner. The stage version of “Mary Poppins” runs July 9 through Sept. 6.

Wrapping up the Rock Island playhouse’s 48th anniversary season is the hugely anticipated area premiere of one of Broadway’s most moving recent musicals: “Come from Away”. It plays Sept. 10 – Nov.1.

The beautiful stage piece tells a true story that has become legendary. It details how, on Sept. 1, 2001, the residents of the isolated small town of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world.

When 38 planes carrying thousands of people from around the globe were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on a moment’s notice, it doubled the size of the island’s tiny population. But residents banded together to house, clothe, and feed nearly 7,000 plane passengers. Their inspiring tale is told in this Tony-winning musical through inventive stagecraft and gorgeous music and lyrics.

Every offering on the 2024-25 schedule will showcase exceptional professional talents both on- and off-stage, Circa ’21 said. Each one is sure to be enjoyed by both frequent Circa ’21 patrons and those previously unfamiliar with this Quad Cities institution.
