With Mississippi River flood waters receding to nearer normal levels, the Channel Cat is resuming operations at three of its four locations beginning Wednesday, July 24.

According to a news release today from MetroLINK, docks which have been closed since July 1 that will resume operations Wednesday are:

  • John Deere Commons.
  • Village of East Davenport.
  • Isle of Capri.

Riverbend Commons in Moline will remain closed for debris clean up, MetroLINK said. The water taxi’s complete schedule can be found here.

Riders are urged to go to Channel Cat’s Facebook page for the latest updates.

The water taxi service, which is currently operated by MetroLINK, was launched 29 years ago by River Action on the July 4th weekend of 1995.
