Champions of Change Awards event set for March 8

Award nominations open Monday, Jan. 8

YWCA Quad Cities and the Yes SHE Can Series have announced details about the upcoming third annual Champions of Change Awards event, which honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in driving positive change within our community.

The awards luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 8, at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center, Bettendorf. It will bring together local leaders, advocates and supporters for a special time of recognition and inspiration.

YWCA Quad Cities’ Champions of Change Awards aim to celebrate extraordinary leaders in the Quad Cities who are intentionally mentoring and empowering women.

These individuals are people who step up, work together, listen, learn and lead with action, as well as embody the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Nominations for Champions of Change Awards will open Monday, Jan. 8, and close on Friday, Feb. 9. All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee, which will narrow the list to the top three male and top three female finalists.

The finalists will be tasked with writing an essay that will help determine the overall winner. Links to the nomination forms can be found at www.ywcaqc.org.

Last year, Sarah Stevens and Nate Clark were named the 2023 Champions of Change Award winners.
