CASI hosts Trivia Night to raise funds for flood recovery

As the Center for Active Seniors, Inc. continues to recover from a flood last month caused by a break in its fire suppression sprinkler system, the center announced that it will host a Trivia Night on Thursday, Feb. 22, to raise funds to help its efforts.

The event will be held in CASI’s Celebration Hall, 1035 W. Kimberly Road, Davenport. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with trivia beginning at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person or $100 for a table of eight.

Funds raised at the event will help CASI cover the costs associated with its flood recovery, including lost revenue and ongoing cleanup expenses, according to a news release from CASI. The first $500 raised also will be matched through the Modern Woodmen Matching Fund Program.

Sponsored by Van Meter, the event is powered by HIP Trivia and hosted by Quad Cities native and nationally touring comedian Dan Deibert. It will be a unique event that is part trivia night, part comedy show and part game show, CASI said in the release.

In addition to rounds of trivia, the event also will include prizes for the top-performing teams; dinner options for purchase, such as pulled pork sandwiches and sides, hot dogs and munchies; and a cash bar with a signature drink created for the event. Participants also may bring their own dinner and snacks, but no outside beverages.
