The Iowa Insurance Division’s Care4Kids initiative will hold its sixth and final educational event in Davenport on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The new initiative highlights state resources available to directors and operators of childcare centers and home-based providers. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn and Suites, 4215 Elmore Ave., Davenport. Doors open at 8 a.m.
Speakers will include Ryan Page, the director of child care for the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, and Sheri Penney of the Iowa Women’s Foundation.

Providers will receive three hours of HHS training credits.
Care4Kids was launched in April with the goal of educating child care providers throughout the state about the resources available to them as well as fostering a discussion about the challenges that providers face and the basics of running a business.
Care4Kids has hosted events in Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Council Bluffs, Sioux City and Cedar Rapids.
