Trinity Heart Center Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab program will have past Pritikin participants share their successes during the next Heart to Heart community education series.

The patients will talk about how the program has helped them on their path to living a heart healthy life. The free  presentation will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Jardine Auditorium at UnityPoint Health Rock Island. Register at unitypoint.org/heart2heart.

Through the Pritikin program, people recover stronger from serious heart issues and lower their risk of complications. Trinity Heart Center was the first hospital in the Quad Cities area to offer the Pritikin program and one of the first 20 programs in the country.

Since 2018, Trinity Heart Center has served more than 1,800 people through the Pritikin program.

“Participants are embracing the program and seeing wonderful, life-changing results. Pritikin gives patients the power to take charge of their physical health, and improve their overall mindset,” Kathy Pulley, director of cardiology services at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, said in a news release.

Heart to Heart is a free community educational series for those interested in learning more about heart disease and prevention. Attendees learn how simple lifestyle changes can make a positive impact on heart health.

This event is presented free thanks to the generosity of donors to Trinity Health Foundation.
