Cancer Support Community hosts Navigating Brain Fog workshop

    Cancer Support Community Iowa and NW Illinois at Gilda’s Club will host a free educational workshop, “Navigating Brain Fog,” on Monday, Jan. 12, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

    The program will be offered via Zoom and as an in-person watch party at Gilda’s Club Moline. It;s located 600 John Deere Road, Suite 101. Registration is required, and participants can select whether to join in-person or virtually.

    The event will explore cancer-related “brain fog,” discussing its causes and providing practical strategies to improve focus, memory and daily functioning. It is open to cancer survivors experiencing cognitive changes and caregivers seeking helpful tools.

    The workshop features Brenda Helget, executive director of A Time to Heal Cancer Foundation, who will join virtually.

    The program is made possible by the Iowa Cancer Consortium and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
