P.T. Boeye is a fourth generation Realtor in the Quad Cities. He has seen the good times, bad times and challenging times. But no matter how people label the times, Mr. Boeye said business has been good. A big part of that is the support he gets from his employer – Buy Sell Build QC - Real Broker LLC at 3565 Middle Road, Bettendorf.“This is a really forward-looking company. That’s why I like the place. … In the housing market right now, there’s still a low inventory of homes in the Quad Cities, and that’s what’s fueling the prices for homes,” he said.More than 100 area business leaders welcomed that forward-looking company to the community during a grand opening celebration in late June.“I can see there is a joy and a passion here to deliver good service,” said Bettendorf Alderman Scott Naumann, who serves as Bettendorf’s mayor pro-tem and as a member of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last month for Buy Sell Build QC - Real Broker LLC at 3565 Middle Road, Bettendorf. That passion for real estate is at the root of the business. When Buy Sell Build QC started business last summer, it began with a handful of real estate professionals. Today, there are more than two dozen agents working for the company. Some of the services include residential and business real estate; land development sales; and new construction services.“The agents we have took a big leap with us. … They took a chance on us. They could have stayed in their comfort zone,” said Pieter Hanson, a Realtor and one of the owners of Buy Sell Build QC.Mr. Hanson added that he helped start the business out of a desire to give customers the level of service they need and deserve. Customers need superior service in these challenging and changing times, he added. The QC housing market continues to face familiar challenges. The housing inventory is low, and interest rates and prices are big hurdles for many customers. (For instance, the current mortgage rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage is around 7.39%. And home prices in the QC market have increased by about 8% in the past year, and increased by more than 38% in the past five years, according to the Federal Housing Finance Agency.)“The market is strong. It’s a sellers’ market, but it’s strong if you go out and work hard,” Mr. Hanson added. That hard work is a hallmark of Buy Sell Build QC - Real Broker real estate professionals, added Realtor Brad Boeye, one of the founders of the firm and father of P.T. Boeye. He added that the changing times in the real estate business could take another turn in the fourth quarter of the year if interest rates fall. If that happens, that will likely spur an even bigger home-buying frenzy and encourage more homeowners to put their homes on the market.“But this is an election year, so who knows what will happen,” Brad Boeye said.During the recent welcoming celebration, many in the business community were more interested in looking over the new office space. Buy Sell Build - Real Broker LLC has set up office space in a shopping complex that is also the business home to The Quarry and Universal Nails & Spa. Here is a quick look at the real estate company and its new location:
Buy Sell Build QC is in a partnership with Real Broker. (Real Broker is a technology company that specializes in real estate.) The business is a “collaboration with some of the top agents in our area, but also the ability to brand yourself or your team individually from the brokerage,” according to Realtor Sara DeWulf, one of the owners of Buy Sell Build QC.
Buy Sell Build started doing business last summer with a handful of real estate professionals and has been steadily growing. When it opened, the owners described the new venture as “an amazing partnership of four top performing Quad City Realtors opening our own real estate office.”
The new office on Middle Road has about 1,500 square feet and consists of a collection of small offices and meeting rooms. The space was designed by Holm and Chambers Design and Staging in Davenport. Ms. DeWulf said the relatively small size of the new office could be the future of business offices in the real estate field. The days of 5,000-square-foot offices could be over as Realtors spend less time in a central office and more time with customers at real estate locations. “The good agents will only be here a couple of hours, and be out on appointments all day,” she added.
The new office is the business home to about 24 agents.
The owners of the business are: Brad and Andrea Boeye, Pieter Hanson and Sara DeWulf.
