Bummer City, the Davenport-based company behind a number of Quad Cities hotspots, has announced it will close its two Analog Arcades in Davenport and Moline. In a Monday, March 3 Facebook post the company said it has “decided to sunset the Analog brand.” It continued: “The truth is the simplest: Our lease is up at our Davenport location in October and we decided not to renew it. We feel we took the brand as far as we could, and our attention has been drawn to our other Bummer City projects.” The downtown locations closing are: Analog Arcade Bar in Davenport and Analog Pizza & Arcade in Moline. The Moline location at 1405 5th Ave. will close in coming weeks, but the post indicates a new concept is in the works for that site. But in Davenport, where Analog has operated at 302 N. The Moline Analog location at 1405 5th Ave. is adjacent to the Take Cover Tiki Club, which opened in October of last year. A craft cocktail bar, it was developed by operating partners Mr. Bush and Matt Lang.“Analog got our start in this business, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything,” the post said. “We have made so many memories and created lifelong friendships …”
