Blain’s Farm & Fleet has been named one of America’s Best Employers of 2024 by Forbes. This honor marks the sixth consecutive year that Blain’s Farm & Fleet has received this recognition, solidifying its commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture.

Blain’s Farm & Fleet has local stores at 8535 Northwest Blvd., Davenport; 5900 John Deere Road, Moline; and 1600 Lincoln Way, Clinton, Iowa.

“We are thrilled and honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers for the sixth consecutive year,” said Jane Blain Gilbertson, the company’s owner and CEO. “This acknowledgment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to treating our associates like family and our customers like neighbors. At Blain’s, we believe that a positive workplace is the foundation for success.”

In collaboration with market research company Statista, Forbes conducted an extensive independent survey from a vast sample of more than 170,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people within the U.S. The survey, conducted over three years, considered more than 3.5 million employer evaluations, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation that differentiates organizations consistently performing well over time.

Blain’s Farm & Fleet climbed from their previous ranking and remains the only Wisconsin-based company in the Retail and Wholesale category.

Blain’s success in the survey is attributed to its unique approach to employee and customer relations. The company values its associates as integral members of the family, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. This familial atmosphere extends to customers, who are treated as neighbors, building lasting relationships for generations. The Forbes survey considered two types of evaluations — personal (direct evaluations by employees) and public (indirect evaluations by friends, family or industry peers).

“Our associates are the heart of Blain’s Farm & Fleet, and our neighbors are paramount to our success. They both are the driving force behind our accomplishments,” said Mark Hasting, president and chief commerce and operating officer for Blain’s Farm & Fleet.

“Realizing this survey is based on evaluations from our associates and neighbors, I am incredibly proud of their enthusiasm for this company, six years in a row.”
