Black Hawk offers free PC Optimization on Saturday

    Black Hawk College is hosting a free PC Optimization Day from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at its Quad-Cities Campus at 6600 34th Ave., Moline.

    The event will take place in Building 2, Room 201 (the new Innovation Hub). Guests are advised to park in Lot 1 off 70th Street and enter through the main entrance of Building 2.

    The event, sponsored by the Black Hawk College IT Society (BITS) and Rouse Consulting Group in Moline, offers complimentary assistance with Windows laptop or desktop computers.

    Cybersecurity and networking students from Black Hawk College will work directly with users to perform several optimization tasks, including:

    • Cleaning all temporary files.
    • Removing unused or old applications.
    • Updating Windows and Windows applications.
    • Optimizing hard drives.
