Nonprofit organizations throughout the Quad Cities region are invited to learn more about an upcoming grant opportunity by joining Better Health Foundation CEO Missy Gowey
for a virtual information session on Tuesday, July 1.
Ms. Gowey will discuss the private foundation’s Capacity Building and Service Support grants during a Zoom call from 11-11:45 a.m. Tuesday.Â
Better Health plans to award these grants – ranging from $10,000 to $75,000 – for area programs and services that align with its funding priorities. Currently, the foundation is focused on mental and behavioral health, risk reduction of obesity and diabetes, and maternal and child (up to age 5) health.
Most recently, the foundation awarded more than $1 million in Innovation Grants to six area nonprofit organizations. The organization is a private, independent foundation that seeks to engage members of its communities in improving their health and the health of their neighbors.
Since organizing in 2023, Better Health has awarded more than $3.9 million to improve community health.
