The two Batteries Plus stores in the Quad Cities have permanently closed, according to a spokesperson representing the businesses.

Those stores were located in the Old Town Mall at  901 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport, and at 300 Avenue of the Cities in East Moline.

“The East Moline, and Davenport locations were independently owned and operated and have permanently closed. While we understand this may be disappointing for local customers, Batteries Plus remains committed to supporting them during this transition. Our official policy is to always take care of our customers. All valid warranties will be honored, and customers with warranty questions or open service matters can contact our Customer Care team at [email protected] for prompt assistance,” according to a statement from a Batteries Plus spokeperson.

Phone calls to both stores went unanswered. As of Monday afternoon, March 9, the Davenport store still had its lights on, advertising signs in the window and appeared to be stocked with merchandise. However, this sign is on its front door: “Sorry we are now permanently closed. We sincerely thank you for your loyalty and support throughout the years. It has been our pleasure serving you.”

Even with the local store closures, Batteries Plus appears to be growing across the nation. As of late 2025, store officials reported more than 800 locations across the U.S. with 16 new franchise units signed and seven new store openings.

Batteries Plus was founded in 1988 and headquartered in Hartland, Wisconsin.
