The Barkin’ Beans Coffee Co. in Silvis is going out of business.
Owners of the dog-themed coffee shop at 1251 Avenue of the Cities announced on the company’s Facebook page on Thursday, March 28, the business will close sometime in April.
“We will be going out of business next month. Unfortunately, we have completely exhausted all of our resources. There is no coming back from the financial turmoil we are in. We don’t have a certain date, we are just going to stay open to sell as much inventory as we can. We will absolutely update you when we have a specific closing date. Thank you for taking this ride with us,” the Facebook post read.
Abigail and Blake Cantrill opened the coffee shop last summer. The business was always centered around the customers’ favorite pets. “We know how much you love spending time with your furry friends, so we encourage you to bring them along on your coffee run. We always have puppy-approved snacks on hand at our local coffee shop,” according to the shop’s website.
