BankORION holds annual shareholders meeting

Orion Bancorporation, Inc., the parent company of BankORION, held its 134th annual shareholders meeting Monday, March 17, at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel, Rock Island.

The Illinois bank holding company recapped the meeting in a news release Thursday, April 3. Orion Bancorporation President and CEO Matthew Bollinger said the company ended 2024 with total assets of $641 million and total stockholders’ equity ended the year at $52 million. In addition, total loans and total deposits ended the year at $398 million and $547 million, respectively. 

At the meeting, Mr. Bollinger also reviewed progress made on the bank’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, the wealth management division InvestORION. He also discussed other company achievements including BankORION’s opening of a new operations center in East Moline, the upcoming acquisition of Bridge Community Bank with three branches in Solon, Mechanicsville and Mount Vernon, Iowa, as well as BankORION plans for a new branch facility in Aledo, Illinois. 

In addition, board Chairman Alan F. Wright announced the retirement of long-time board member Brad Keleher, who has served on the board of directors of BankORION and Orion Bancorporation, Inc. since March 18, 2019.

The shareholders re-elected Mr. Bollinger and Douglas Nelson to the board of directors for three-year terms. Other directors include: Alan Wright, Timothy Fritz, DeAnne Bloomberg, Gerald Johnson, Kevin Koellner, and Mark Werning.

The board of directors of BankORION and parent Orion Bancorporation also announced these promotions: Lindsey J. Uttech to vice president, director of human resources; Hannah M. Robinson to assistant vice president, agriculture and commercial loan officer; Kylie M. Vandersnick to assistant vice president, agriculture and commercial loan officer; Brad S. Butcher, to assistant vice president, commercial loan officer; R. Grant Redpath, to assistant vice president, commercial loan officer; and Lisa K. Durbin to assistant vice president, branch manager.
