Arc Industries rebranded as QC Flex

The Arc of the Quad Cities QC Flex

The Arc of the Quad Cities Area has rebranded its employment program – long known as Arc Industries – to QC Flex.

The new QC Flex brand, unveiled last week, is designed to shine a spotlight on changing business needs and evolving definitions of what makes an inclusive workforce, The Arc said on its website.

QC Flex will operate as a social enterprise that utilizes the power of its brand to not only advance the mission of The Arc but as a tool to showcase the value of an inclusive workforce.

In announcing the new identity, The Arc said the business model for Arc Industries worked well and generated employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

QC Flex employs people with and without disabilities. It offers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities long-term work in an inclusive environment.

According to information from The Arc, the new brand identity comes after several months of creative exploration, strategic planning and input from its team.

More than a logo

The new brand, the organization said, “is not just about a new logo, it is a testament to our commitment to transformational change, innovation, and the spirit of flexibility that defines QC Flex.”

The new name also strives to show the professionalism and expertise The Arc brings to customers. Its new tagline also conveys its promise to customers: Dynamic, Customizable Business Solutions.

For more than 70 years, The Arc has provided a range of services for people with disabilities.

QC Flex staff can meet its customers’ varied needs from document destruction to custom packaging and kitting, to corrugated box manufacturing, to government contracting.

“We are connected to our history, our mission, the bonds of connectivity to our employees and customers which has informed our journey to becoming a social enterprise,” Matt Fredericks, the division director of Community Programs & Work Services, said on The Arc’s blog. “We look forward to showcasing our capacities to the business community.”
