The deadline for River Action’s Eddy Scholarships is coming up on Friday, March 24.
In conjunction with its annual Eddy Awards, River Action created the Eddy Scholarships in 2019 for students planning to major or minor in an environment-related field, according to its website.
Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded based on students’ character, academic standing, career goals, and school and community involvement, with preference given to students who will attend a college or university in the Quad Cities area.
The Eddy Scholarships will be awarded during River Action’s annual Fish & Fire dinner on April 28, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, 226 17th St. Suite 100, Rock Island.
River Action launched the Eddy Awards in 2000 to recognize impactful environmental undertakings and programs that benefit the health of the Mississippi River or celebrate the river’s industry, history or art.
