“The American Pickers” television show is coming to the Quad Cities to search for hidden treasures. And if you have antique treasures, the pickers want to hear from you.

The History Channel hit television series will be in the region this September to film episodes of the popular “American Pickers” series. The show follows skilled pickers in the business as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques.

The show has strong Quad Cities roots. One of the show’s pickers is Rob Wolfe, who has a warehouse and workshop at 330 W. Fifth St. in downtown Davenport. Also, the show’s star, Mike Wolfe, is the owner of Antique Archaeology in historic LeClaire, which enjoys the attention it receives as the home of “American Pickers.”

As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with amazing stories and fun items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.

The pickers have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.

“The American Pickers” show is looking for leads and wants to explore hidden treasure in Quad Cities area homes or properties. However, the pickers do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or anything open to the public.

If interested to possibly being on the show, send your name, telephone number, location, and description of the collection with photographs to [email protected] or call (646) 493-2184.
