The Adler Theatre and its managing group, VenuWorks, is reminding patrons the only authorized online ticketing platform is Ticketmaster.com, the Ticketmaster app, or the Adler Theatre website, and www.davenportlive.com. They link you directly to Ticketmaster.
In a news release, the Davenport-base Adler reminds patrons that third-party vendors often double or triple the cost of what the actual ticket price should be, and “you risk receiving invalid tickets that the Adler Theatre is not able to honor, refunds not being returned for rescheduled or canceled events, an inability to make changes to the purchase, and missing important show information that is distributed to ticket purchasers.”
To avoid an online purchase entirely, tickets also can be purchased in person at the Adler Theatre Box Office, 136 E. Third St. in Davenport. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“When acquiring tickets for events at the RiverCenter/Adler Theatre, be sure to make your purchases through the Davenportlive.com website. Any other online ticket distributor is through a third-party seller,” Lance Sadlek, the Adler’s executive director, said in a news release. “Acquiring tickets from a third-party vendor is almost always more expensive and greatly limits your flexibility to do such things as exchange seats for an event.”
