CLINTON, Iowa – Adcraft, a leading provider of custom apparel and merchandise, has announced plans to build a nearly $5 million, 36,000-square-foot facility here.

The company’s new headquarters building will be at 1300 19th Ave. NW in the Lyons Business & Technology Park. The ceremonial groundbreaking is set for 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, with an anticipated completion date of May or June 2025.

The modern facility will enhance the working environment for employees and elevate the overall experience for clients. The new headquarters will feature a retail store offering sporting goods, fan gear, and outlet merchandise. It will also include two leased spaces for foodservice tenants to provide convenient dining options for the neighboring businesses and employees in the area, according to information from Adcraft.

“As a family-owned business with over 50 years of growth, we are excited to create a fresh, vibrant facility that will inspire both our clients and our team,” Dan Sullivan, co-owner of Adcraft, said in a news release. “This expansion represents our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence.”

Key features of the new Adcraft headquarters will include:

  • Retail and dining: A dedicated sporting goods and fan gear retail store, plus two foodservice tenant spaces for a complete customer experience.
  • Client-focused showroom: A state-of-the-art custom apparel lab and showroom designed for an enhanced client experience.
  • Workspaces for creativity: Dynamic office spaces, breakrooms, conference rooms, and a marketing studio to foster collaboration and creativity.
  • Increased production efficiency: A streamlined warehouse and production layout, which will allow for increased order capacity and faster turnaround times.

“Adcraft’s growth and development exemplify Midwest work ethic and values. Dan Sullivan and his team have proven themselves through continued success,” said Andy Sokolovich, president and CEO of Grow Clinton, in an emailed statement to the QCBJ.

Adcraft is a staple in the Greater Clinton Region; from collegiate teams to local support, the company holds to the mission of community service and unmatched customer care. My tenure working with Adcraft has been enjoyable, and I wish nothing but the best for this great company in the future,” Mr. Sokolovich added.

Adcraft, founded in 1974 by Terry and Barb Sullivan, is a family owned and operated business offering custom apparel and merchandise services nationwide. In 2012, two of their sons, Dan and Colin Sullivan, took over ownership and are continuing the legacy.

Adcraft is more than a printwear business. In addition to shirts, hats, jerseys and other sports and business items, the company also offers many promotional items such as cups, water bottles, tumblers, beer steins, mugs, ice scrapers and many other items.

Adcraft’s acquisition of longtime team dealer Temple’s Sporting Goods in 2014 expanded its product range and brand offerings including retail sporting goods. (Temple’s has a location in The Plex area of Bettendorf at 5171 Competition Drive.)

“Our new warehouse and production areas will significantly boost efficiency, enabling us to fulfill more orders with an even quicker turnaround time,” said Colin Sullivan, co-owner and production manager at Adcraft.
