
The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) and Elevate Advanced Manufacturing will recognize four manufacturing leaders from across the state during ABI’s conference next month.
The Legends in Manufacturing awards will be recognized during the ABI Iowa Manufacturing Conference luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 2. The conference is being held at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny.
These individuals, companies and organizations are the 2024 Legends in Manufacturing awardees:
- Under 100 Employees: Hernan Etcheto, Nutriom (Panora)
- 100-300 Employees: Gary Sharp, Advanced Heat Treat Corporation (Waterloo)
- 300+ Employees: John Lisle, Lisle Corporation & EZ Way Inc. (Clarinda)
“We are proud to recognize another group of outstanding leaders in Iowa manufacturing,” ABI President Mike Ralston said in a news release. “Their innovation, dedication to their business, and leadership set a high standard for the industry, not just in Iowa but across the nation.”
Selected from a pool of nominations, the four awardees were chosen for their contributions to Iowa’s largest industry by displaying leadership in their companies and engaging in activities supporting manufacturing.
The 2023 Legends in Manufacturing awardees included these Quad Cities area honorees:
- Jackson Manufacturing, Jack Hasken, Maquoketa, (Under 100 Employees).
- Arconic, John Riches, Bettendorf, (300+ Employees).
In 2022, Jerry Krantz, of SSAB, Muscatine, won in the 300+ Employees category.
