Among the 27 loans valued at nearly $9 million backed last month by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Iowa district office was a trio of loans valued at $951,000 and awarded to businesses in the Quad Cities region.
In all, the district office said, the SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 10 new and 17 existing businesses that reported creating 94 new jobs and retaining 194 jobs as a result. The June 2025 SBA-backed loans went to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs.
The Quad Cities companies receiving assistance are located in Clinton and Scott counties. They are:
- Green Apple Education, LLC, Clinton, Iowa, $687,500 loan to create 10 new jobs for an existing health care and social assistance business.
- Angerer Eats, Bettendorf, $140,500 loan that will create one job and retain two at an existing food preparation and delivery business.
- The Learning Garden LLC, Davenport, $123,000 to retain 13 jobs at an existing child care service business.
