The Figge Art Museum is offering free admission throughout July, thanks to the generous support of Cal and Jill Werner.

The museum, located in downtown Davenport, invites the community and visitors to explore its art, culture and creativity. It offers an escape for art lovers, families seeking summer activities, or anyone looking to beat the heat. The Figge features exhibitions, interactive programs and a permanent collection.

Special experiences planned this month include:

  • Big Picture in the House: Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. This all-ages, drop-in program includes hands-on projects, creative challenges and interactive fun. No registration is needed.
  • Art Cart Adventures: A mobile Art Cart will travel through select galleries, offering kid-friendly activities.
  • Exhibitions: Summer exhibitions feature masterpieces from the National Gallery of Art, footwear and more.
  • Evanescent Field by Leo Villareal: From dusk until dawn daily. The museum’s facade comes alive with this permanent light installation, transforming the building into a field of digital light.

“There is no better time to discover or rediscover the Figge,” Melissa Mohr, the Figge’s executive director and CEO, said in a news release announcing the special promotion. “With free admission throughout July, we are proud to welcome everyone in our community and beyond to experience the power of art to connect, inspire, and uplift.”
