
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is honoring students who completed its High School Equivalency Program with ceremonies in Clinton and Davenport.
The graduates, ranging in age from their late teens to their 60s, balanced jobs, families, and other responsibilities to achieve this significant milestone. Their motivations are varied, from career advancement to setting an example for their children or fulfilling a personal goal.
The EICC program offers free tutoring and preparation for five subject-area tests: language arts – reading, language arts – writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Support is available at Clinton and Muscatine campuses and Scott Community College’s West Davenport Center. Students also receive practice tests and guidance to ensure confidence in taking official exams.
To further support their success, EICC provides a three-credit-hour scholarship to every graduate, applicable to both credit and non-credit career courses through the college’s Continuing Education offerings.
Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for:
- Clinton: Tuesday, June 24, 6–7 p.m., Clinton Community College Auditorium, 1000 Lincoln Blvd.
- Davenport: Thursday, June 26, 6–7 p.m., Davenport North High School Auditorium, 626 W 53rd St.
EICC also held a ceremony for graduates of the program in Muscatine on Tuesday night, June 17.
