QCAIR hosts Citizens Honor Dinner on May 16

The Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees (QCAIR) will host its inaugural Citizens Honor Dinner to recognize and celebrate community members who have recently become naturalized U.S. citizens.

The dinner will be Friday, May 16, at the Putnam Museum, Davenport. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner begins at 6 p.m. and the program at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public, and tickets or table purchases are available now. A single ticket is $25, or a table of 8 is $175. Go here for ticket information.

“This evening is a celebration of courage, commitment, and the journey to becoming a U.S. citizen,” said Amy DeHaven, director of QCAIR. “We are thrilled to honor these individuals and welcome them as full participants in our civic life.”

The dinner will highlight the stories of naturalized citizens, recognize their contributions to the community, and celebrate the diversity that strengthens the Quad Cities. Family, friends, and community members are invited to join the celebration.

The scheduled speakers include: Nana Ouro-Agoro, Yasemin and Dr. Seref Onder, Dr. Bashir Djehiche and Dr. Naurin Ahmad.
