Illinois associations host 2025 Business Day on Wednesday  

The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association and the Illinois Retail Merchants Association will host their annual Business Day on Wednesday, May 7, in Springfield.

The event will bring together business leaders from across Illinois to discuss issues impacting jobs and economic growth with government officials, industry advocates, and policy experts. The program begins at noon at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield – DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 701 E. Adams St.

Confirmed speakers include: Mark Denzler, president and CEO of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association; Rob Karr, president and CEO of the Illinois Retail Merchants Association; Illinois Senate President Don Harmon (D-Oak Park); Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch, D- Hillside; Senate Republican Leader John Curran (R-Downers Grove); Illinois House Republican Leader Tony McCombie (R-Savanna); and Andy Manar, the deputy governor for Budget and Economy.

The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association, the state’s oldest and largest manufacturing trade association, represents nearly 4,000 companies and facilities. The Illinois Retail Merchants Association, founded in 1957, represents more than 23,000 stores statewide.
