A popular downtown Davenport restaurant is closing its doors.

Cavort Libations & Bites, located at 229 Brady St., is scheduled to close in 60 days, according to a post Monday, April 7, on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“Our time at 229 Brady is simply up, and we want to exit on a high note. …We will continue to serve our favorite libations & bites until we can’t! Today, we are starting our 60-day countdown. So please – PLEASE continue to come and support our incredible staff,” the post from Rhea Vrana, new owner and chef at Cavort, reads.

Ms. Vrana added: “For anyone who’s ever said ‘I’ve been meaning to try that place!’ Now is the time. … We love this space and our community very much. Thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way. Thank you to all the vibrant individuals that made us great.”

A Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Cavort in February of 2024 after the restaurant  became a chamber member and to honor Cavort’s third-year anniversary in business.

In addition to its anniversary, Ms. Vrana told chamber members then that the restaurant was also going through a relaunching period with the interior going through a redesign.

Some of the items on the Cavort menu include chicken piccata, sunshine chicken, bourbon bacon burger, truffle fries and sticky crab rangoons.

Ms. Vrana said the restaurant space is for sale by the owner. Information can be found at Marigold Resources.
