
Royal Neighbors of America, a life insurance organization based in Rock Island, has announced that Antonio (Tony) Trillo has been appointed as its general counsel and corporate secretary.
At the end of May, Mr. Trillo will succeed John Friederich who is retiring in May after 33 years of service.
According to Royal Neighbors news release, “Mr. Trillo brings extensive legal experience to Royal Neighbors, most recently serving as deputy general counsel at RSM US, LLP, where he provided legal counsel across various business lines and managed significant litigation and regulatory matters. His distinguished legal background also includes serving as chief of the Civil Division at the United States Attorney’s Office in Madison, Wisconsin, where he oversaw complex civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, as well as practicing as a litigation attorney at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, s.c.”
Mr. Trillo earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was Articles Editor & Style Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and vice president of the Latino Law Student Association. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting, cum laude, from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting.
