Empowering Abilities is opening their doors to the community for an open house from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at 3402 Hickory Grove Road, Davenport.
Guests will see the new spaces in the building, an all-weather outdoor court, and the enterprise work area, and be treated to lunch.
Many donors and granting organizations supported a project to redesign the daily discovery classrooms, hallways, and common areas at the Hickory Grove Road building. Classrooms have taken on themes such as “Mothership,” “Wizard Room,” and the “Arcade.”
Empowering Abilities worked with the creative team at Edwards Creative in Milan to develop and design these spaces. The newly designed spaces are vibrant and inspiring to both staff and participants.
The open house is an opportunity for the community to view the building and grounds and also see the programs in operation. It also gives Empowering Abilities the chance to thank the community for their years of support.
