
Empowering Abilities in Davenport recently announced changes in its administrative staff.
Katy Decker, a 27-year employee of Empowering Abilities, has been promoted to chief programming officer.
 In this position, Ms. Decker is responsible for all programming aspects of Empowering Abilities, including day programs and residential programs. Ms. Decker’s years of dedication to the mission, along with her commitment to the culture, make her an ideal candidate to take on the responsibilities of this role.Â
Also, Steven Meyer has accepted the position of chief financial officer. Mr. Meyer comes to Empowering Abilities with extensive accounting and CFO experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Â
Both Ms. Decker and Mr. Meyer have assumed their executive level positions and will support the mission of Empowering Abilities, which provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities to lead their best life and to succeed, achieve, grow and be happy.
