CLINTON, Iowa – The Grow Clinton Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony will be 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at NelsonCorp Field in Clinton. (Go here for more details on this event.)
The meeting’s schedule includes: 4 to 4:45 p.m. – registration, cocktails and conversations; 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. – awards and announcements; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – food and live music.
The band Spoiler Alert will provide entertainment at the meeting.
The awards scheduled to be presented at the meeting will include:
- Karl Schmitz Memorial Award for Outstanding Ambassador: This will go to a person who goes above and beyond in their role as a red coat ambassador.
- Al Wise Memorial Award for Outstanding Volunteer: This will go to a person who is active in business and volunteer activities with a deep commitment to Grow Clinton and the community.
- Community Leader of the Year: This will go to a person who is a leader in economic progress and community development.
- Manager of the Year: This will go to a person who is a leader in business and the community who represents their business and their employees
- Small Business Person of the Year: This will go to a person who has guided their business of 25 employees or fewer to a successful year of growth, innovation, and quality service.
At past annual meetings, Grow Clinton officials also outlined big events for last year and outline some of the events coming later this year.
