Red Kettle Campaign sets $770,000 goal for holiday season

    The red kettles near many area stores are ready for a new season and a new goal – even with fears of tough economic times on the horizon.

    Salvation Army Quad Cities officials announced a $770,000 goal for its traditional holiday Red Kettle Campaign during a kickoff event on Friday, Nov. 4. (Last year’s goal was $750,000, and actually brought in more than $780,000.)
