Just days after the last putts were sunk at the 2026 John Deere Classic, the golf tournament leaders revealed the dates for next year’s Quad Cities PGA Tour event.
The 2027 JDC will take place June 28 through July 4 at the JDC’s home course, TPC Deere Run, Silvis. Tournament play will begin Thursday, July 1, 2027, with the final round being played on Sunday, July 4.
Last week’s tournament, which crowned Chris Gotterup as the 2026 champion, delivered a star-spangled Fourth with a patriotic flare, tournament play, a red-white-and-blue decked out crowd, and Carrie Underwood playing the growing Concerts on the Course. Throughout the week, military and first responders also were honored and recognized with special events and perks.
Gotterup, whose first JDC appearance was on a sponsor’s exemption in 2022, finished at 20-under par for the week and won $1.58 million of the record $8.8 million purse.
“Hosting the John Deere Classic over the Fourth of July weekend in 2027 is an incredible opportunity for our tournament, our sponsors, our volunteers, and the entire Quad Cities community,” JDC Tournament Director Andrew Lehman told the QCBJ on Thursday, July 9.
His JDC staff and the JDC’s 2,400 dedicated volunteers pulled out all the stops last Saturday as the nation celebrated its 250th birthday. Ahead of Concerts on the Course, the celebration featured the National Anthem played by the St. Ambrose University Marching Band as well as the Patriot Parachute Team, organized by Folds of Honor, dropping in on the 18th fairway.
“The holiday creates an exciting atmosphere that complements everything the John Deere Classic represents – world-class competition, exceptional hospitality, and a community that takes great pride in welcoming the PGA Tour,” Mr. Lehman said looking ahead to next year. “We’re excited to showcase the very best of our region, deliver a first-class experience for our players and fans and continue the tradition of making the John Deere Classic one of the premier stops on the PGA Tour schedule.”
