Griffin, Poston join lineup for 2026 John Deere Classic

    Two of the world’s Top 40 golfers have become the latest PGA Tour pros to commit to the fast-approaching 2026 John Deere Classic.  

    J.T. Poston, the 2022 JDC champion, and Ben Griffin have joined the 2026 field, the Quad Cities tournament announced Wednesday, June 17. 

    In the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), Mr. Griffin ranks No. 15 and Mr. Poston ranks No. 38. 

    Mr. Poston, 33, of Hickory, North Carolina, returns to the JDC for a ninth appearance coming off a recent victory at The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. 

    Mr. Griffin, 30, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, returns to the Silvis course with three Top 10 finishes and six Top 25 finishes this season. He tied for fifth in his 2024 JDC appearance, but did not make the cut in 2025. 

    Other PGA headliners this year include: Rickie Fowler, Lucas Glover, Max Homa, Christ Gotterup and Joel Dahmen. 

    Players have until Friday, June 26, to commit to this year’s contest. 

    The 2026 JDC will be played Thursday to Sunday, July 2-5, at TPC at Deere Run in Silvis with the 2025 JDC champion Brian Campbell returning to defend his title. 

    This year’s Quad Cities PGA event will offer an $8.4 million purse.  This year’s Concerts on the Course feature Carrie Underwood on Saturday, July 4, and Old Dominion on Sunday, July 5.

    Since its founding in 1971, the JDC tournament has raised more than $206 million for area charities, including a record $16.9 million in 2025.
