Rock Island-based engineering firm IMEG has acquired AGM Energy Services and Palmer Conservation Consulting, two Ohio-based energy consulting firms that were previously under common ownership.

According to a news release, AGM Energy Services, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Twinsburg, Ohio, specializes in commissioning, master systems integration, and criteria engineering, with additional offices in Toledo and Columbus. Palmer Conservation Consulting, founded in 2010 and based in Toledo, focuses on energy management, market advisory, and efficiency services, with offices in Cleveland and Columbus.

The two firms will now operate as a unified team within IMEG rather than as separate entities.

“By bringing AGM Energy Services and Palmer Conservation Consulting into IMEG, we are significantly strengthening our performance and energy platform and expanding the depth of expertise we bring to clients,” said Paul VanDuyne, IMEG president and CEO. “This integration allows us to better connect energy strategy with building systems and operations—delivering smarter, more sustainable outcomes and long-term performance.”

“Joining IMEG marks an important ownership transition that strengthens our long-term strategic direction and positions the team for continued growth,” said André T. Goosby, AGM Energy Services president. “This alignment expands our capabilities and resources, allowing us to deliver more integrated solutions while continuing to serve as trusted advisors to our clients.”

Mr. Goosby will take on a client executive role at IMEG as the teams integrate. Geoff Hunter, Palmer Conservation Consulting’s president, will help guide the transition, during which the firms will operate as AGM, now IMEG, and Palmer Conservation Consulting, now IMEG.

Both firms will continue operating from their existing Ohio locations. IMEG has more than 100 offices and 3,200 employees nationwide.
