Tickets are now on sale for the Friends of Trinity’s annual Blossoms & Brunch fundraiser, set for Saturday, May 2, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Rhythm City Casino, 7077 Elmore Ave., Davenport, Iowa. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the program begins at 9 a.m.
Individual tickets are $40, or a table of eight is $300. Registration can be completed online or by calling 309-779-2343. The RSVP deadline is April 17.
The event encourages attendees to “dust off your favorite spring hat and welcome the season in style.” Attendees can enjoy a hot brunch, shop for fresh flowers and bid on auction baskets, all to support UnityPoint Health – Trinity community programs.
“What I love most about this event is the energy in the room… all to support a great cause,” said Tulisa Bollinger, manager of gift shops, volunteers and Friends of Trinity at UnityPoint Health – Trinity. “Every dollar raised helps us care for people when they need it most.”
Proceeds from Blossoms & Brunch support various caring community programs, including:
- Caring Closet: Provides clothes to patients who would otherwise be discharged without any.
- Caring Cart: Supplies essential items to inpatients in need.
- Caring Canines: Offers pet therapy services.
- Prayer Shawls: Provides spiritual comfort.
Additionally, event funds help meet needs for blanket warmers, wheelchairs and essential supplies for patients, according to Laurie Byrd, Friends of Trinity Committee Chair.
New this year, proceeds will also benefit the Trinity Cancer Center.
“The support from events like Blossoms & Brunch truly makes a difference,” said Ahmad Abu-Hashyeh, M.D., Oncologist and Hematologist at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Cancer Center. “These funds help us create a space where people feel cared for, supported and never alone.”
