Gov. Kim Reynolds announced Thursday, Feb. 26, the appointment of Peter Gierut as a district associate judge in Judicial District 7.
Mr. Gierut, a Davenport resident, currently serves as a magistrate and is a partner at Gallagher, Millage & Gallagher, PLC. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and a law degree from Drake University Law School.
He fills a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Korie L. Talkington. Judicial District 7 encompasses Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, and Scott counties.
