ImOn Communications announced the completion of its 100% fiber internet network in Clinton and Camanche, Iowa, making them “Fiber-Connected Communities.”
The completed network provides fiber-to-the-home and fiber-to-the-business service to more than 10,000 addresses in Clinton and 2,000 addresses in Camanche, the company said in a news release Thursday, Feb. 12. The network offers internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second for homes and 10 Gbps for businesses.
“Fiber Internet is the only type of internet that can keep up with the digital demands of modern homes and businesses, and now fiber internet service is widely available in these two communities for the first time,” ImOn President and CEO Patrice Carroll said. “We look forward to connecting the people of Clinton and Camanche for years to come.”
Working with local city leaders, ImOn began construction in Camanche in late 2024, connecting the first customer that December. Construction began in nearby Clinton in early 2025, with the first customer installation in June. The network construction officially concluded in December.
Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, ImOn also serves the Iowa metro areas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque, and Sioux City along with Marshalltown and various rural communities across southeast Iowa.
