Winter fun doesn’t require a warm destination, according to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley. The organization is hosting its 21st Annual Putt-A-Round indoor mini golf event from today to Friday, Feb. 4-6, at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport.
The event transforms the RiverCenter into a unique, temporary mini golf course featuring 24 custom-designed holes built by local companies. Many of the builders will be on-site during the event.
Putt-A-Round is not only a fun outing but also offers opportunities for networking, community connection and friendly competition. Attendees can also enjoy food, a live DJ, and chances to win more than $4,000 in prizes and giveaways.
Team registration closed Friday, Jan. 30 but teams may register at the door if space allows. Big Brothers Big Sisters has set its highest goal ever this year with a target of 283 participating teams.
Every team that participates directly supports youth mentoring in the Quad Cities by helping Big Brothers Big Sisters recruit and onboard volunteer mentors and fund programs and activities. Currently, more than 200 local youth are waiting for a mentor, with more than 70% of them being boys.
Putt-A-Round is open for a night out with friends, family competition, or a team-building experience with coworkers, all while supporting a meaningful community cause.
