Allegiant is celebrating a new milestone in its partnership with the Quad Cities International Airport (QCIA).

For 15 years, the low-fare carrier has provided the regional airport’s passengers with affordable, nonstop travel. Since the local service took off in 2010, Allegiant has flown more than 1.7 million passengers in and out of the Moline (MLI) airport. The airline’s business strategy, offering a network of all-nonstop flights from small-to-medium sized markets to world-class leisure destinations, separates them from other carriers, the QCIA and Allegiant said in a joint news release Thursday, Nov. 13.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with Quad Cities International Airport,” said Kristen Schilling-Gonzales, Allegiant’s vice president of Planning & Revenue. “Our partnership with MLI has allowed us to provide affordable, nonstop options to countless passengers. This moment marks another milestone in what has been an incredible journey and we look forward to many more years of success.”

As a leisure-focused airline, Allegiant builds its schedule around vacation seasons, making air travel convenient and affordable. Allegiant passengers do not have to worry about the hassle of layovers and connections as all its flights are nonstop.

“We are incredibly grateful to Allegiant Air for 15 years of partnership and service at Quad Cities  International Airport,” said Benjamin Leischner, the QCIA’s executive director. “Over the years, Allegiant has consistently delivered convenient and affordable  travel options to some of our passengers’ favorite destinations, including Las Vegas, Phoenix and Punta Gorda.”

He added in the release: “Their commitment to growing with our community is evident, most recently with the addition of seasonal service to Sarasota – a route that has been met with tremendous enthusiasm.”

    Celebratory giveaway

To celebrate their shared anniversary, the airport is offering a giveaway on its Facebook page @qcairport. Customers must like the post and comment with their favorite Allegiant destination for a chance to be selected to win up to $500 toward their next flight courtesy of Allegiant.

In addition, four flights were also randomly selected to receive a small gift as a thank you for choosing the QCIA and Allegiant.

According to the Quad Cities airport, this anniversary highlights the strong partnership it has shared with Allegiant. The airline’s business model, which is focused on connecting passengers to premiere vacation destinations, aligns perfectly with MLI’s mission of providing convenient and efficient travel experiences to  passengers, the release said.

“We look forward to building on this strong foundation and continuing to expand travel opportunities for the region together,” Mr. Leischner added.

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Allegiant is an integrated travel company with an airline and focused on connecting customers with the people, places and experiences that matter. Since 1999, Allegiant has linked passengers in small-to-medium cities with world-class vacation destinations. For more information, visit Allegiant.com.
