Honkamp has been honored with a Top Workplaces 2025 award by Iowa Top Workplaces 2025, marking the 12th consecutive year the company has received the recognition from the Des Moines Register.
The award is based on confidential employee feedback collected through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC, an employee engagement technology partner. The survey assesses various aspects of the employee experience, including feelings of respect and support, opportunities for growth, and empowerment in their roles.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, said in a news release. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Lisa Schmidt, the director of people and talent at Honkamp, headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, emphasized the company’s commitment to its employees. “Our people are the reason for our success. So, it’s truly humbling to see our people reflect that back with this honor,” Ms. Schmidt said.
Honkamp, whose other offices include Davenport, fosters employee development through a range of programs, including training, education initiatives, performance management, and regular feedback. The company also promotes work-life balance, offering perks like the Summer Friday program, which allows employees time for family, friends, and personal interests.
