Following a successful 80-show world premiere in the spring, the Broadway-style ballet is touring to more than 50 new cities nationwide this fall. The production adapts F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel into a ballet featuring original jazz music, multimedia sets, and hand-sewn costumes. It also includes a live singer and Charleston dance sequences.
The show has received rave reviews, with the LA Dance Chronicle calling it “a beautiful ballet production” where dancers “dance with such passion and commitment.” The Epoch Times praised the “beautiful backgrounds and lighting” and “exciting choreography,” while VC Reporter noted the “art deco-inspired set, a lively score, brilliant choreography and lavish costumes.”
More than 60% of World Ballet Company audiences are new to ballet, aligning with the company’s mission of “Ballet Everywhere, Ballet For All.”
