Shannon Stubbs has been appointed as chief executive officer of The Quad Cities Rehabilitation Institute in Moline, according to a news release from the institute this week.
The 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 653 52nd Ave. and serves patients recovering from a life-changing illness or injury.
“I am passionate about providing high-quality rehabilitation care,” Ms. Stubbs said in the release. “It is an honor to be selected for this position and lead the incredible team at The Quad Cities Rehabilitation Institute.”
Ms. Stubbs, a licensed speech-language pathologist, brings more than 25 years of health care experience to the CEO role. She has extensive experience in operations across acute, outpatient, medical practice and rehabilitation care settings.

In her previous role as an operations director, Ms. Stubbs supported more than 55 providers in primary care and specialty clinics across North, Central and West Illinois.

Ms. Stubbs holds a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders science from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Indiana State University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
The $33 million, inpatient rehabilitation hospital opened in 2022. The hospital is a joint venture between UnityPoint Health-Trinity and Encompass Health. It provides essential services to help patients regain function and independence as they recover from major injuries and illnesses, such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
